| 摘要(中) | 我們人類無論在何時何地，都不停的在接收新的資訊。我們每個人的生活，可以說是與新聞息息相關、密不可分。正如同人類其他的活動一般，語言也是新聞傳播最主要的媒介。因此，新聞傳播可以算是一種社會間的語言交流行為。從語用學的觀點來看，既然新聞是一種社會間的語言交流，那麼新聞本身即是一種言談行為。而如同其他各種類型的言談一般，在獨特的社會因素以及語境的交互作用之下，新聞言談必定也擁有他自己獨特的一套語言風格。這篇論文的主要目的便是在探討台灣電視新聞的主要語言風格的特徵為何。
在過去的幾十年中，許多優秀的學者以各種不同的角度深入研究了言談分析這一個議題。其中，在新聞言談分析上，又以Teun A. Van Dijk為語言學家中最為重要的一員。他主張將新聞的文本視為一種言談，進而加以分析，討論。他認為新聞言談本身即擁有其獨特的語言風格。而新聞應具有五個共通的風格限制，分別為對觀眾的距離感、非個人式發言、不同主題間的詞彙風格變化、正式發言以及句型常規化。由新聞所發出的言談必然具備這五個風格特色。這同時也是這篇論文最主要的理論基礎。
因此，在這篇論文當中，我們根據Van Dijk所提出的風格限制，來探討台灣的電視新聞。發現在台灣電視新聞當中，一樣可以發現Van Dijk所提出的五個風格特色。台灣的電視新聞的確符合Van Dijk所提出的論述，展現出相同的語言風格特色。

| 摘要(英) | We always keep absorbing all kinds of new information all the time. All of us are tightly connected to “news” through out our whole life. Just like other human activities, news is also primarily transmitted through language. Therefore, the process of news presentation is a kind of social linguistic interaction. From pragmatic perspectives, since news presentation is a social linguistic interaction which conducts a communicative event, news itself is a kind of discourse. Like discourse of other genres, news discourse must have its own style under the interaction of certain factors and context. This study is primarily discussing the specific style features of television news discourse in Taiwan.
In the past few decades, analysis on news discourse has been done by many excellent scholars with various perspectives. Among linguists, Teun A. Van Dijk is the most important one who claims taking news as a kind of discourse. He thinks that under certain context, news discourse must have its own linguistic style and this style is govern by five general constraints, which are distance toward audience, impersonal voice, lexical style variation on topics, formal communication style and routinized sentence patterns respectively. This is also the foundation of this study.
Therefore, in this study, we will discuss the style of television news discourse in Taiwan according to the general style constraints proposed by Van Dijk. We find the five constraints also affect television news in Taiwan. The style of television news in Taiwan indeed corresponds to Van Dijk’s description and has the same stylistic features.
